Why this course exists
Better screenshots, same bottlenecks.
That is AI theatre, and most organisations are quietly stuck in it. A few people do genuinely impressive things while everyone else saves four minutes a day and wonders what the fuss was about. This course is the step from asking Claude questions to handing it whole jobs.
You are the memory.
Every new conversation starts with you explaining the organisation again. Who we are, what we sell, how we write, what we never do. Same paragraph, every time, because the context lives in your head instead of in the tool. Section 2 puts it in a Claude Project.
It looks like it came from nowhere.
The content is good and the document is wrong. Wrong colours, wrong fonts, no logo, and fifteen minutes of fixing headings before it can go anywhere near a client. A brand reference file and a styled starter template fix it once.
The expertise is walking around.
One person has run the thing for years and none of it is written down. It is not that they are difficult. Documenting is a writing job, and it loses to real work every time. The course captures it for about an hour of their time, and they correct rather than write.
The difference is almost never talent. It is that nothing the good ones know has been written down where the tool can reach it.

What it is not.
It is not a first introduction to AI at work: for the rules, the risks and what stays your job, start with AI at Work Foundations. If Microsoft 365 is your main environment, the Microsoft Copilot course is the hands-on equivalent. Leaders setting AI strategy want the AI Leaders Course. And it is not for the free Claude plan: Section 3 runs on Cowork, which needs Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise.
How it works
Your own work, start to finish.
Four sections, seventeen lessons, about 3 hours, self-paced. Section 1 gets you using Claude safely and prompting with purpose, and ends on a case study: turn a 41-page request for proposal into a one-page decision brief for leadership, then check the claims that would be most expensive to get wrong.
From there the exercises run on one folder of your own real work, which you pick before you start. You build a Project, a brand file, a redesigned workflow and a Skill, and in Section 3 Claude runs multi-step jobs across real files. The Claude desktop app, on macOS or Windows, is recommended for that section.
Not sample data. Something you actually deal with, so you finish with something you can use on Monday.

What do I need before I start?
A paid Claude plan with Cowork access: Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise. The free plan will not get you through Section 3, and we would rather you knew that now. The Claude desktop app on macOS or Windows is recommended for Section 3. And one folder of your own real work to practise on: not sample data, something you actually deal with. Pick it before you start.
Do I need to be technical?
No. It is written for knowledge workers, not developers, and the exercises run on everyday work: documents, data, research and a recurring process of your own.
I already use Claude every day. Is this too basic?
Section 1 will be quick for you, and it is meant to be. The course is built around the parts most daily users have never set up: organisational memory, brand control, workflow redesign, Skills, agent guardrails and scheduled tasks. If you have already built a Project with a curated knowledge base and a Skill that runs a recurring job, you are ahead of it.
Does this work if my organisation uses Copilot as well?
Yes. The organisational memory you build in Section 2 is a curated set of files about how your organisation works, so it goes with you to whatever tool you point at it. If Microsoft 365 is your main environment, look at the Microsoft Copilot course too.
How long does it take?
About 3 hours, self-paced, ideally over two or three sittings rather than one. You can stop between sections and come back.
What if I get a quiz question wrong?
Try again, as many times as you need. After each quiz you see which questions you have right, and each section opens once every quiz in the one before it is passed at 100 percent.
Is it an accredited qualification?
No. It is a verifiable certificate issued by AI New Zealand, earned by answering every quiz correctly and completing every exercise to the required standard. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Anthropic, and is not Anthropic endorsed training.
Will my employer see my answers?
No. On a Business account your organisation sees who has completed and the outcome. Your answers stay private to you.
How do I buy it for my team?
Up to five seats can go on a card. From six to 49 people, set up a Business account, invoiced at the lower rate from the first seat. From 50, apply for a Corporate account. Associations can offer it to their members.
