Justin Flitter founded AI New Zealand in 2017 to help business leaders discover why, where and how to leverage artificial intelligence. Since then we have helped thousands of Kiwi organisations with practical advice and training.
We are independent and vendor neutral. We do not sell software licences, so the advice you get is about what will work for your organisation rather than what we have to move.

Provides skills based training at scale to individuals, business teams and industry groups. Free and paid webinars and workshops are hosted every week to share practical advice, demonstrate tools and tech and showcase the practical and remarkable ways AI is changing the way we work.

The Great NZ AI Roadshow.
The 2024 New Zealand AI Roadshow was attended by 1,800 people across 10 cities. These super-practical, AI for business masterclass events are perfect for non-technical people learning why, where & how to leverage AI at work.
AI Day Conference.
AI Day was New Zealand's headline artificial intelligence conference, held in both 2018 and 2019, for business leaders, and everyone interested in the impact of AI on society and business. Both events were seen as foundational moments for New Zealand's AI ecosystem, helping foster confidence, accelerate adoption and grow the community.
The AI Show.
The AI Show was one of the country's most influential AI event series from 2017 through 2024. These monthly meet-ups, attended by up to 300 people were held in Auckland and consistently attracted business leaders, technical professionals, and people curious about the practical impacts of AI.
Our founder
Justin Flitter.
Justin Flitter is the founder of AI New Zealand, the country's independent AI for business advisory. He has spent his career at the forefront of emerging technology, building the communities and events that shaped New Zealand's AI ecosystem, and now advises boards and executive teams on why, where and how to use AI.
He graduated from Massey University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Business Information, majoring in marketing and communications management. Before AI New Zealand he was the seventh hire at Zendesk, leading business development across Asia Pacific, and has founded or led nine communities with more than 75,000 combined members.
He represented New Zealand on the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence, produces TEDxAuckland, and is the author of Unrivaled: B2B Marketing Strategy & Activation. He is based in Auckland.
